Ironman Vichy 2016

This weekend was the IRONMAN racing in the historic French spa town Vichy, one of France's most beautiful cities, known as the "Queen of Spa Towns".
IRONMAN Vichy and IRONMAN 70.3 Vichy hope to become the largest gathering of long-distance triathletes in the world in the next three years.

This year, Athletes swam in the beautiful Lake Allier, using the rowing race infrastructure to guide themselves through the course. The easy bike course in the country headed through the regions of Allier and Puy-de-dome, with exceptional views of the Chaine des Volcans d’Auvergne. The day ended with a run course on the shores of Lac d'Allier and through historical Vichy, where hundreds of spectators lined the course to cheer the athletes to the finish.
